update 0.002


Had to clean up a few syntax errors.  There was one that made it so you could use the lotus blade in the diner even if you left it in the burning barn and one that left an ugly error message on my favorite ending. Shout out to my buddy Alejandro for pointing out these for me so I could chase them down and iron out a few additional related bugs. I should have also included shout outs to my sister Jen and my friends who provided screenshots that helped with the last update.

Screenshots of the page where an error or strange thing appears are the best thing for play-testing a Twine game that I've been able to find. I would really like a bug reporting tool that sent HTML based on the page your on when you pressed something like a "report bug" button and typed in a message. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find those kinds of tools yet. Such things must exist, Twine is such a robust and popular platform, but I'm pretty new to programming and I wasn't able to find it in any forums I've looked at. (If you're reading this and know a good list of twine widgets or plugins, don't be afraid to reach out.)

I think Siqua is ready to go 1.0 with a touch more testing, some grammar fixes, and the like. Maybe I should ad something to the endings to make it clear that different endings have different intentions or maybe a message that says "try again to get one of the other x endings."

Regardless I've learned a lot about Twine and programming from my experience creating Siqua. I'm already working on another more ambitious story, which means these minor glitches may remain on the back burner. That was always the intention of Siqua though, take a short story and see if I can make a game out of it, then do something bigger.
